January Jaunts

Greetings all,

Solstice has finally come and gone, and the days are slowing getting longer. For some reason, the long, dark nights affected me strongly this year, which is why I’m featuring this lovely photo by Finnish photographer Ossi Saarinen. He captures amazing images of Finnish nature (see more at www.boredpanda.com/forest-animals-photography-ossi-saarinen). I figure if he can find beauty and happiness in much more northern climes, I can here in beautiful Montana.

Once again, music is my balm and source of much happiness (speaking of which, be sure to check out the new Mary Poppins movie to put a magical smile on your face!). Here’s what’s coming up:

Wednesday, Jan. 2: Mountain Walking Brewery, 422 Plum Ave, Bozeman. One of Bozeman’s newest breweries, it’s a fun, festive place with a great menu. This will be my first time playing this new venue, so come show the folks there some Edis love. 6 to 8 pm, no cover, tips appreciated. www.mountainswalking.com

Friday, Jan. 4: Music and Margaritas at Santa Fe Reds, 1235 N 7th Ave, Bozeman. Fun place, super margaritas (try the Cadillac), and fine Mexican food (my favorite is the portobello mushroom fajita). 6 to 8 pm, no cover, tips appreciated. www.santafereds.com
