Music as Healing Therapy

An important part of Edis’ musical life involves the music she brings to the senior population in the Bozeman valley. She strongly believes in music as a positive mental, social, and physical therapy. Some of her most rewarding and joyful moments involve singing songs such as “Don’t Fence Me In” and “Home on the Range” as folks up to — and over — 100 years of age sing and play along on percussion instruments.

Your coming to Park Haven brings such joy to those who can’t get out. You lift their spirits. We hear their comments and share in their happiness. Thank you for doing this…God gave you this beautiful gift to sing for all of us to enjoy. We do thank Him and you for these joyful sounds from your heart” from Cheryl, friend of residents of Park Haven Retirement and Assisted Living, Manhattan, Montana.
