November Notes

November Reflections

There’s no getting around it: the snow has arrived. As much as I prefer NOT having to don hat, gloves, coat, long johns, ETC every time I walk my dog, there is such beauty in those white mountain tops. I snapped the above photo a couple of weeks ago just west of town at the pond on north Davis. We are indeed fortunate to be surrounded by such awesome grandeur here in Bozeman. Brings solace to the soul in these difficult times.

While it’s not quite November, I wanted to send a reminder about the next couple of gigs coming up:

Thursday, November 1st:Enjoy a great meal, fine cocktails, and fun live music at the Mint Cafe and Bar, 27 East Main, Belgrade. Edis on heartfelt vocals and guitar with Cliff DeManty on keys and Eddie T on bass. Influences include Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, and Allman Brothers. If it's got heart, it's in. 7 to 9:30 pm, no cover. Tips appreciated. www.mintcafebar.com

Tuesday, November 13:Come on down to Santa Fe Reds, 1235 N 7th Ave, Bozeman, from 6 to 8 pm, for some magnificent margaritas and marvelous tunes. And, yes, outstanding Mexican food! Great folks and fun times. Playing at Santa Fe Reds is always a blast. No cover. Tips appreciated. www.santafereds.com

Tuesday, November 20:Solo performance at the Taproom, 101 North Rouse, Bozeman. There’s a reason it’s called the “Taproom”: I’ve never seen so many beers on tap, plus hard cider for gluten free folks like me. Great food, too. 7 to 9 pm. No cover, tips appreciated. www.bozemantaproom.com

Thursday, November 29:Hot water and cool tunes at Bozeman Hot Springs. Come soak in the hot water while enjoying cool tunes. Edis will be joined by Cliff DeManty on keyboard and Eddie T on bass. 81123 Gallatin Rd, Bozeman. www.bozemanhotsprings.com

Friday, November 30: Enjoy fine cocktails and good Montana grub as well as magnificent tunes at Ted’s Montana Grill, 105 West Main, 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Edis will be bringing her unique brand of folksy, bluesy, heartfelt tunes to the Baxter Lobby. Cliff DeManty on keyboard and Eddie T on bass. No cover, tips appreciated. www.tedsmontanagrill.com

I’ll also be doing my “Blues By Heart” show on KGLT Saturday, November 3rd and 17th, 3 to 6 p.m. That’s 91.9 fm locally. To stream or for more station info: www.kglt.net

I will be providing music at Unity Spiritual Center Sundays November 11th and 25th, 10:30 a.m.
