November Newsletter 2020

Greetings, friends.

Here's a photo I took this morning out our back door just at sunrise!

I have greatly missed communicating with you these many months. What a strange time we are living in now. I will admit to falling into a bit of funk. I have greatly missed sharing music and the joyful energy that results. Also, the extrovert side of me simply misses interacting with people, especially seniors.

I wanted to update you on my latest. With public music not happening for me at all these days and senior facilities closed to activities such as music, I decided to try for a part time job in activities at Hillcrest Senior Living, where I have often entertained in the past. I have missed the joyful energy that results from positive interactions with elders. I'm excited to say that I started this week at Hillcrest. I will be driving residents to and from appointments as well as working one-on-one in activities. My first days have been a whirlwind of activities and very exciting.

I will keep you posted about that as well as anything that might come up in the music world. I am continuing to DJ at KGLT every Saturday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. Right now, it is my one musical outlet and great mental therapy for me, and I hope for my listeners. Join me for "Blues by Heart" at 91.9 FM in Bozeman, or find other translators as well as streaming possibilities at www.kglt.net.

For now, I will happily share with you a recording I recently did for Pilgrim Church with Cliff DeManty on keyboard. It is a song by Karen Drucker that I find very comforting. Karen Drucker is known for her positive music and repetitive lyrics that are almost chant-like. I hope you are able to hear this and enjoy. CLICK HERE to hear it.

Please take care, be safe, and stay healthy. Happy Thanksgiving! We do have so much to be thankful for.

Till next time,

Edis
