October Newsletter 2021

Hello friends.

I haven’t sent a message lately, simply because I haven’t been taking many public gigs lately. The photo I’m sharing with you so nicely represents my mood these days. My niece took this photo of her lovely daughter, Lucy, with one of Lucy’s ponies. The setting is the beautiful northern Vermont mountains. Both Lucy and the pony are looking for Lucy’s other pony who had run off to visit the neighbor’s ponies. I love how Lucy and the pony lean so comfortably on each other, yet are looking so earnestly in opposite directions with concerned expressions. I also love the natural wildness of it all.

I feel like this is my life lately. Still in the middle of COVID uncertainty. Still not sure which direction to look. Yet comfortable in the nature of it all.

I am almost to my year anniversary of happily working part time in activities at Hillcrest Senior Living here in Bozeman. I love working with seniors, and I have plenty of occasions to share my music with them, which is incredibly rewarding and enjoyable. I also play at other senior living facilities in the valley. Summer had given me many opportunities for outdoor gigs, both private and public, but now I hesitate to jump back in the bar scene to perform, though I miss it. KGLT continues to provide me with a larger audience with whom I share the music I love; I’m happy to let you know that I’ll be back to doing The “Blues by Heart” show (almost) every Saturday again, starting in November, 3 to 6 p.m. www.kglt.net

I do want to let you know about an unexpected and welcomed gig this Saturday, October 30th, at The Kountry Korner Café in Four Corners, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Join me for this solo gig in one of Montana’s classic country style eateries. Saturday is prime rib night, so be sure to make it down for dinner or just some yummy pie and coffee, or beer and wine. More info at www.kountrykornermontana.com

Till the next time, stay happy, healthy, and warm. Hasn’t this been the most delightful autumn? I’ve sure enjoyed it.

All the best,

Edis
